At Mosquito Squad of the South Shore, we are dedicated to reducing the mosquitoes in our area and keeping the inconvenience they cause to a minimum. While there is a small risk for mosquito-borne diseases such as West Nile Virus here, in other parts of the world mosquitoes are spreading deadly disease at alarming rates.
Malaria is Deadly for Many
The most deadly of these world-wide mosquito-borne diseases is Malaria and while it was eradicated in the United States over 50 years ago it still affects 250 million Africans every year. In fact, over 1,000 children under the age of five die from Malaria in Africa every day. In total, over 500,000 people die each year, mostly pregnant women and children.
At Mosquito Squad, the cornerstone of our beliefs include passion, education, service, and giving. This is why we’ve partnered with Malaria No More, a non-profit global health organization dedicated to stopping malaria deaths in Africa and educating its people in protection. Since 2012 Mosquito Squad has raised over $350,000 to support efforts in Cameroon Africa in making sure all citizens receive the proper education of how to obtain and use proper bed netting for protection against dangerous mosquitoes.
You can join us in the fight. Go to SwatMalaria.net and give, even the smallest amounts can help. Here at Mosquito Squad of the South Shore, we will give $1 for every customer we have.
